Royal Fashion Show

The finalists for The Royal Fashion Show came from around the world on February 2 at the Bella Collina Towne & Golf Club in San Clemente. Garments from these Fashion Designers were submitted for this competition from countries such as Angola, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.  This Royal Fashion Show benefits Sentebale and Pink Ribbons Crusade in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Sentebale is the personal charity of His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales and His Highness Prince Seeiso of Lesotho helping forgotten children in Lesotho, Africa. The Pink Ribbons Crusade is a traveling exhibit to raise funds to fight breast cancer currently on board the Queen Mary. 

  The event started with a meet and greet by the Project Runway judges:  Michael Costello, Gordana Gehlhausen, Christopher Straub, Bert Keeter, Joshua Christensen of Season 9 and Nicolas Putvinski of Season 6.

  The Emmy Award-winning ABC/10 KGTV News Anchor/Reporter, Kimberly Hunt was Mistress of Ceremonies for the afternoon.  The fast paced show got under way and the Project Runway All Stars had their work cut out for them selecting a competition winner.   Vicki Gunvalson and Jeana Keough from the original cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County were among the crowd. The runway designs were accented with Hats by Diana Cavagnaro and Jewelry from Caroline Rocha.

  Two semi-finalists were announced:  Eliane Declercq and Kenneth Nicholson. The final winner was designer Eliane Declercq who received a cash award; a weekend vacation aboard The Queen Mary and her dress displayed at the entrance of the Diana/A Royal Exhibition onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach California
